The SPMM™ (Single Platform Many Modules) product platform from Duckbill Outdoors is a top-of-the-line gear-carrying system consisting of Velcro® lined belts, suspenders and modules. There are dozens of gear modules to choose from. Each one attaches on the system using Duckbill’s patent-pending MaxCon™ double clamshell docking technology.

You're in charge of customizing your gear anyway you choose. You can easily change out various equipment and gear modules to suit the locale, length, weather, terrain or purpose of your outing. The MaxCon™ technology allows you to position the gear modules anywhere on the system to suit your preferences for access, weight allocation, comfort and stealth.

Binoculars, camera, spotting scope, reference books, pens, pencils, note pad and lens cleaner, GPS or other direction finding gear, knife, first aid, day snacks and water, insect repellent, cell phone, video camera, sunglasses and walkie-talkies are just a few of the items we know you take with you out in the field.

The wide suspenders have even wider shoulder straps and a dorsal yoke in back designed to prevent the shoulder straps from buckling or shifting and keep the rear suspender struts parallel with each other and perpendicular to the weight you’re carrying at your waist.

Not every birder chooses to carry all of their gear all of the time. That's why the system easily converts from an upper-body configuration (belt and suspenders) to a belt-only mode. Simply remove the suspenders and wear the gear you want, at your waist.

Attractive, khaki-tone weatherproof and water-repellant materials are used throughout the system. Both fabric and fasteners offer years of field-tested quality.

Duckbill Outdoors Single Platform Optics Carrier.

This unique product is designed with the heavy-optics user in mind.

If your optics are stowed and slung on your back, access to your scope or your camera is always a too-slow process that’s also cumbersome. The Single-Platform Optics Carrier (SPOC) is a multi-component packaged platform that allows a birder to carry a spotting scope at their side, attached to a duckbill utility belt, and weight-distributed using a diagonal stability strap that crosses the torso. A shoulder pad comes attached to the stability strap, and adds an extra level comfort to the SPOC platform. The birder's scope is held firmly in place, but can quickly and easily be removed for fast setup, allowing fast, on-the-spot viewing in the field.

Once the various Duckbill Outdoors modules or Duckbill Outdoors suspenders are attached using our MaxCon™ docking system, the modules stay securely in position without sliding on the belt.

The SPOC product purchased here comes with the following components: Stability Strap, Tripod Hobble, Center Column Link Belt, Contoured Removable Shoulder Pad, and SPOC docking module.

This platform allows you to carrying your gear in an easy to reach and convenient location along the suspenders. An O-ring on the yolk allows for convenient hanging.

The adjustable suspenders are constructed of double-ply 2 inch, 500 denier khaki-toned nylon along with Velcro® and wool. It is available in 3 different sizes.

Once the various Duckbill Outdoors modules are attached using our MaxCon™ docking system, the modules stay securely in position with out sliding on the suspenders.

The MaxCon™ docking allows for easy repositioning.
