Eagle Watching banned amidst Chaos
In Oaksfield County, western Michigan, a bald eagle family has been causing major excitement for bird watchers, and headaches for local authorities, according to TV20 Detroit. The family has made its nest in a tree near a busy high-speed road in a populated urban area. Curious locals and intrigued birders from around the area had shown up in large numbers, causing authorities to react. Apparently many of the watchers were parking illegally or even standing in traffic. The authorities, concerned about the possibility of an accident, placed a ban on crowds gathering to watch the birds. Offenders could be fined over $200.
